I got the stand for free.
I sold a few old bows, a pack, Assault hang-on and sticks. Yes I could have put that money in the bank but I am happy with this purchase. The wait time was about 4 months as they were behind in production. What sold me was the compact stick design and the silent packability. The waist belt and seat that locks into a shelf makes a load feel very comfortable. There is an integral pack strap hanger as well.
I don't really like to mess with all of those straps while packing and unpacking. I use the one to loop around the top of the stand to keep the seat post locked down to the platform as shown on their website. I find it easier to use flat adjustable bungee straps to keep the sticks and Bison Gear pack to the stand.
I use a parachute cord loop on each side of my safety harness belt to carry two of the sticks. I keep the stick straps in my pockets and put them on when I hang each stick. The sticks will stack on the stand easier while packing without the straps. I don't have to mess with wrapping each strap on the sticks, just put them back in my pockets. I'd like to find a pouch to attach to my safety harness to store the straps.
