What's on your trad bucket list?
« on: October 11, 2019, 11:51:13 PM »
I have been asked this a few times.
I guess for myself, the only thing left is an elk.

At this point in my “trad career” I’d be happy with a whitetail, a squirrel, or pretty much anything on four legs.  :biglaugh:

Seriously though, I would like to go after moose and elk one day. If nothing else for the location and adventure.

Moose but it's not something I'll ever afford to do.
Whitetail and pig are good enough quarry for me.  I sure do like reading the stories of others adventures though.

My bucket list includes many many hunts, but my dreams are infinitely bigger than my wallet.

Caribou, moose, black bear, brown bear, bighorn sheep, bison, antelope, mule deer, elk, javelina, hogs, mountain goat, turkey,  and all the small game and fish available at those locations

Alaskan Brown Bear or Big Horn sheep.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I don’t hunt anymore due to a bunch of ailments and right now I’m looking after my elderly parents. But I have always wanted to visit the site of my favorite Fred Bear hunt “Jims first Moose”
The Cedar river “jumpover” at the north end of Lake Wabaskang where Fred and Jim Henderson camped is much more accessible now than in 1946 and still looks undeveloped on Google Earth.
It would be fun to see it. Maybe shoot a few stumps, cast a few lures...
