We are finalizing plans for our 2020 Canada Bear camp and I wanted to put it out there for Trad Gang members that have requested information of for those looking for a really high quality bear camp. First, some general information on our camp.
We have hosted countless Trad Gang members over the years and I have made so many personal friends as a result. This camp is great for the first time bear hunter and for the guys that has taken bears in the past and is now looking for a true monster. Our territory is in excess of one million acres and we are the only outfit allowed to operate within this area. We take 16 bears or less off of the concession and this results in some really big bears. Additionally, we hunt only the two weeks surrounding the rut and this reduces the chance of bad weather during our hunts that can be encountered in late May and early June hunts and increases odds on big bears as they cruise for sows.
While we can take any weapon, we have 40 years of trad bow experience so shots are set up for 10-12 yards and we have a very high % shot opportunity at not just a bear but really nice animals. Our cabins are very comfortable and are situated on a beautiful river and you can kayak in the off time to look at moose, deer and listen for the wolves close to camp. The camp is remote but can be reached by any vehicle as we are just about two hours North of Montreal and only a four hour drive over the border.
Full information can be found on our website but once you arrive in camp, we take care of EVERYTHING. Transportation to baits sites, lodging, game care, import paperwork, freezing of meat and hide, on staff blood tracking dog, an incredible camp cook....EVERYTHING.
Our bait site are impeccably clean and we offer both tree stand and ground blind hunting. We have very small groups of 6 hunters or less for the two hunt periods and have a minimum of three guides on staff. We can accommodate any level of hunter experience and have had successful hunters as young as 81 years old.
We have many great bear videos from past Trad Gang member hunts on our YouTube channel keyword: Russell Outdoor Guides. These videos do a good job of showing the great hunting conditions and beautiful wilderness but even more, I think while watching them you can feel the passion we have for what we do.
I don't think there is a man on this earth that likes to talk more about bear hunting than me so if you have questions about our camp, please don't hesitate to give me a call. My contact information is listed on my website with the link below.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and a very special thank you to all the Trad Gang members that have hunted with us over the years.
