What weight and draw length are you shooting?
« on: October 18, 2019, 09:58:59 PM »
Just curious about what is a average draw length and weight inside the group. I am shooting a Robertson StykBow 66" 56#@28" I draw it to 29.5 so I guess I am right around 60 #. Thinking about going to around 50-52 @28"

Also suggestions for a shorter bow that would work with my 29.5" draw. Looking for possibly a Hybrid.

My Thunderchild is #43@28. Big Jim might chime in soon on long draw length/shorter bows.

My bow is 55# @ 28" and draw it to 27ish.  So 52-53 lbs maybe?  I've never put it on a scale.  As far as suggestions for a hybrid, the bow is an Ogemaw from Two Tracks Bow Co.  It's 58" and I was a little concerned about finger pinch at that length.  I wanted a 60" bow but Chuck assured me I'd be alright.  He was correct.  He's got a great design and does some great work.  Check em out!

Both of my main hunting bows are 68" long and 53# at 28". I only draw 25", so I guess I am losing between 6 and 9#. This is in the 40's, but I have never used a scale to determine for sure what I'm pulling.
