Yeah, I realize the expense. But I've lost a nice broadhead arrow or two, and to me, the bigger issue is locating that arrow immediately if a miss or pass-thru so you can get back to hunting again or tracking, as the situation warrants...
Hopefully, the nocks can be reused if you break or trash an arrow, so that averages the cost out.
FWIW, I looked into string trackers...they are illegal here in Illinois. Why? I dunno...
EDIT:I might add, I would only use the lighted nock arrows during low light scenarios.
