Kanati slim jim quiver rubber limb straps

Anybody know of a replacement for the rubber? Mine are dry rotted and cracked.
Tried calling John from a number I found online. No luck with a returned call.
Thanks

Jeff,
I do believe John Dill has stopped making the quivers and I just text Lee Hoots who used to make some bows for him and they used to share a table as vendors at shoots etc. I asked Lee if he knew if John is still making them or knows and he just text me back that he believes he’s “Done “ but did say he will text John and see so I will let ya know what I find out.

I contacted John last week to see if he had any spare grippers. He came up empty. I would ask Bob at Great Northern or Big Jim to see if they can help you out.

I use thunderhorn straps on mine. The holes match the bolt pattern on the Kanati
They will work on a long bow but I don’t think they would be long enough for a wide limb recurve

I use those quivers and tried to get extras right when kanati stopped making them.. I was told the yellow rubbery inner tubes used in high end road bicycles work perfect when cut in 1/2" sections, I guess ask for popped ones on some cycle forums.... was told to have someone pull on one end of rubber band while other is around quiver post then go around a few times tightly with serving then tie off so it stays on post and the other end just keeps getting pulled around limbs.
I figured surgical bands tied off the same way would work too because that's what he used.

I ordered the thunder horn straps and they don't work either. If anyone wants them, lemme know.

I made some myself for my FDS strapped Dual Arc out of some rubber from McMaster Carr that’s made for rubber tie down straps. I used the original ones from my Dual Arc as a template and knocked holes in them and cut the curves on the ends with my leathercraft tools. They look exactly like the originals and function the same.
I can make a few more for folks if y’all are interested in them. I’ll just need to know how many to make so I can get enough materials to do so.

Kerry
Were the thunderhorn straps to short to go around the limbs?
I will buy them from you if you want to sell them

CR,
I am using a recurve and couldn't use the attachment Thunderhorn uses to adhere to my Kanati. The straps would probably be adequate. I'll mail them to you.

I don’t own a Slim Jim but I bet they’d be just fine. I couldn’t imagine Kanati using multiple variations of straps to mount a quiver that’s otherwise se identical barring the shape of the hood.
Let’s see how many folks need a set. I’m out of the fancy rubber but if y’all cover the cost of having a bit more sent my way I’d be happy to cut out and mail some straps for several guys. My leathercraft punches/chisels make it much easier than cutting this stuff with a knife.

My posts look like the same hardware but my straps were different. Mine were a 1"x6" rubber strap with a hole to mount to the post and a keyhole shaped cut on the tag end for fitting over the open end of the mounting post.

John Dill made [2] type of strap on quivers.
1/ The one most of you are talking about is the flat strap [with punched holes] that toggles onto the pins.
2/ The other type as pic was the FDS[fast deployment strap] which slips over a grooved disc on the end of the cushioned pylon.
If that is the type well I have known guys to improvise with cut rings of inner tubes[front motorcycle tyre tube or ATV bicycle is about right] or bungee stretch cord knotted into a small loop.
I have some spares and but am in Australia.

I have the first type. Not the type pictured. 2 holes punched with a slit running form one hole to the other on a flat strap. I have tried inner tube strips and can't get the right amount of tension.
Will look another material/source. Like maybe a tie down rubber strap and punch holes in it.
