Need some advice for new bow and arrow
« on: October 30, 2019, 10:12:43 AM »
Got a new PLX and this time I had to step down in pounds I use to shoot 57 and now went to 44# at my draw . What do you recommend as a good hunting arrow and broadheads for this bow. I'm hunting distance is 17 yards and in . Thanks all

The PLX is cut past center, so should be pretty easy to tune.  Not much trajectory at 17 yards, so no particular reason to look for light weight arrows.  I would either select a Gold Tip trad shaft in .500 spine with a 125-150 grain broadhead/point for a mid-weight arrow, or a .400 shaft with a 175 grain or heavier broadhead/point for a heavier weight arrow.  I'm assuming your draw length is somewhere in the 27-29” range.  If it's outside of this range, my advice might change.

The guys at BW have a lot of experience with their own bows, so might want to give them a ring on this.
