I am having a heck of time deciding on a pack. I’ve gone through so many day packs this year that it is ridiculous. My Bison Gear Lost River was the best but I stupidly sold it and can’t find another. I am curious what everyone recommends. I don’t carry a lot but like the ability to roll up an extra layer and carry it. This is for Midwest hunting where I won’t have to pack game.

Any recommendations?

For me, I won't use nothing but a Badlands Pack,,,I have 3 of them and love em,,,Badlands has a pack for every occasion, Best of luck,,,JMG

Bison gear is no doubt the best. End of story.....

Not sure how fast you need Yet but Tom is ramping up again with Bison gear..... He just needs a few more months to solidify everything since he just bought the company from Angelo...

I may have a line on a first Trip but without a doubt I'll be getting another wool Lost River once Tom is up and running. I seriously kick myself daily for selling mine!

I'm very happy with my Rancho Safari Cat Fanny. It does everything I want Here in the midwest or on all day mountain hunts. It's the quietest pack I've ever seen. (mine is fleece)

Have had Badlands Super day and Diablo. Great packs. Just traded for a First Trip.

These are interesting. Never looked beyond their other products. Might have to check them out further.

I agree with Terry. Bison has been my favorite for years. Tom is getting closer to being ready to start. And even tho he isn’t producing just yet....to tell you how he’s gonna do business...I needed a couple parts to repair my pack. Not because it broke but a critter got to it on cabin porch last season. Tom took care of parts and had them to me in short order. A real pleasure working with him. If you aren’t in a hurry....might be worth the wait.

I use a Badlands Diablo. I can get a lot of boned out meat in it and tie the head and cape on. It also has straps on the bottom for a sleeping bag or in my case a rolled up rain coat or fleece

Have used Badlands Diablo for multi-day hog hunts. Works well, for hauling hammock, sleeping bag, pad and stuff for a couple days. Now have a Bison First Trip that I'm looking forward to putting through its paces.

Love my Bison Gear packs eh !

I’m also running 3 different Kifaru packs depending on what and where - great packs , great customer service . Prob my fave packs

I’m running an Exo Mountain 2000 pack or a Tenzing 720. I’ve been happy with both.

I'm really liking my Alpha pack that I got from The Push guys. It's not a backpack, but it packs pretty much everything that I might need for a day hunt. And it has adjustable straps that will hold a rolled up garment or 2.

Cat Quiver 6 …. very comfortable and good access to side pockets while wearing it. Lots of room to carry and store stuff but very light. I love mine. I have the fleece model and it is super quiet !!!

Started using a Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21 daypack this year modified slightly for hunting. Cut the metal zipper handles off to quieten it up and use the pull cord that came weaved through them. Clean, minimalist look and easy access, especially if you have it hanging from a tree. No camelbak slot, but I prefer a nalgene bottle after a bladder seam leak.

I have one of these as well and use it a lot in the early season. I really like it for small game and turkey season as well.

I wanted a Bison pack but it was sold and I couldn't wait so my wife got me a Exo Mountain 2000 pack it is a great pack not to bulky rides nice maybe down the road I'll get a Bison Pack.
