my NEW BOW
« on: November 05, 2019, 10:30:20 AM »
A new bow is on the way to my house. I had Jim Neaves of Centaur Archery build me a new Triple Carbon Elite Takedown bow.

I really like the way a Centaur shoots, and Jim's aesthetic ability to sculpt carbon, wood, and "dark matter" into a beautiful, visually stunning, and functional work of art is beyond compare. This will be my third Centaur, and this time I have to have a takedown that will be my go-to bow for traditional bowhunting travels.

I should have the bow in my hands in a couple of days. Meanwhile, check out Jim's photos of my bow on his Centaur Archery facebook page.

That's real nice Joe! Is it carbon back and belly? I was wanting to try one of his 64" now that he's making them.

Are you taking that bow to Crane?

Yes, that bow will come with me to Texas. You can shoot it a bit there and see what you think.

Leftovers? That would mean that I have too many bows. I don’t know about that.

In my opinion, a Centaur is one of the hardest shooting bows made. Great grip, awesome craftsmanship and great customer favorites. Jim Neaves loves what he does and is very passionate about his craft. Enjoy

Here is the other side of the riser. This shows how the takedown system works.

That is a fine bow.  Now that he is doing 64" bows I may have to order one.

You think that new bow
might have a black bear and its future?  Eh?

Yes to the black bear and to the hog back straps. This bow will be going to Texas and to Quebec.

Nice bow, does it shoot as good as your other Centaur bows? It's going to be a long wait ( im on his long list ) for my bow. Trying to decide on a one or two piece take down. Any pros or cons on each?

Mine will get here soon -- maybe tomorrow. So, I will let you know how the takedown stacks up against the one-piece after I shoot it a bit.

Thanks, also what draw length do you shoot? I shoot 28" and Jim recommended a 58" bow. Was planning on a 60" but just don't know.

Great choice Joe, I had one of these until it got too heavy for my old bones. Awesome shooters and really zip an arrow. Have fun in Texas
