Well that’s a wrap for my deer season in Texas. Got skunked this morning.
I took the time to do some more scouting and took a different route on the way back and found some really good sign that will come into play next year.
I still have my hog/deer hunt in Louisiana in about 2 weeks and I plan to do some more scouting over the next few weeks to try and locate where the deer are feeding and bedding this late in the season and with these dry conditions to better prepare for next year.
It ain’t over!!

I will be having a both again this year at the Kalamazoo Traditional Archery expo
1-24 thru 1-26. Stop buy and try out some bows or just to say hi. Thus is an awesome event.

I was planning on going back to the wma tomorrow and doing some hog hunting/ post season scouting but there is some really nasty weather rolling in. I will try to go Sunday instead now.

Since my deer season is over here I Took the morning to do some scouting with hopes I’d bump into a hog or 2. No luck on the hogs but did find a lot of good stuff I’ll log into my memory bank for next season. Bucks are still working scrapes and got pics of a small buck chasing a doe. Never seen it so prevalent this late in the season. Been a crazy year!

Wow you gotta love this time of year there!

Getting loaded up to head to Louisiana tomorrow morning for 4-5 days of hog/deer hunting with some buddies and meet some new ones! I look forward to this trip every year!! I’ll have lots of pics and hopefully some blood will be spilled!!

And. If you want you can keep her through the 1st week of Feburary....then you can ship her to me. We wont be using her till the 22nd....so as long as she's here by the 20th so I can pack her up that will be fine!

Still not over! I’ll have her a couple more weeks. I plan on at least a couple more hunts on our local wma to chase some hogs before I have to give her up.
