I’ve had three black tails. So far the VL Elite is my favorite. It was a very consistent, stable bow for me. Fast flight?

They are great bows.  Built to last and beautiful, easy to tune, quiet and pretty quick.  I recently got one of their 3pc Columbian longbows and love it.

I am assuming it is a FF model. It is brand new, better check that out before I make a bad mistake. Would think all new bows would be able to use FF string material. I will post pictures when it arrives.

Norm started making all his bows FF compatible around 1997.
Do show us photos of the bow once you have it.
I've had three Elite VL's and now a Sitka.

I currently have two Elite VLs and a Snakebit. My favorite is my 66" Elite VL. Very smooth and being cut 3/16" past center, makes it very forgiving of stiffer spines. Its hard to believe you will be disappointed. They shoot as good as they look.

I bought my first Elite VL around 2000. 14 month wait, and totally worth it. I have a second lighter weight Elite VL, and also recently got a Columbian T2 Takedown. I absolutely love ‘em.

Congratulations!!

I've owned a LOT of custom bows over the years. When it comes to beauty and craftsmanship Norm's Blacktail's are in a league of their own

Hey gary, some solid opinions above from people who know what they are talking about.   I've always wanted to shoot one of norms bows.  You'll have to bring it to a shoot.
Relax,

You'll live longer!
