Oklahoma deer #3, third different bow
« on: November 20, 2019, 06:57:42 PM »
Not too much in the line of a story or this.  I had some time off last week during the cold front for some hunting.  I hadn't shot big game with this particular TallTines Stickflinger and was freezing my butt off, so took the first thing that came by. I later on passed on some does and a young 8pt, but was happy to put some more meat in the freezer. Shot distance was under 10 yards, and saw it go down in under 40 yards.  I did shoot an armadillo a few days earlier, and will include the pic as it shows the bow better.

In any case, this little one made some tasty roasts.

Here is the young buck I passed up.

Congrats.   Beautiful bow too.  What kind of quiver is that?

Thank everyone.

The quiver is a highnoonhunter quiver.  They were made by Bobby Ratliff.  I don't think he makes them anymore.  I know that he got busy building dulcimers a few years back and stopped making them. Glad I got a few when I could.

Actually saw a post on facebook, and it looks like Bobby is making quivers again.  Look him up on Facebook under highnoonhunter leatherworks.
