Thanksgiving Prayers
« on: November 27, 2019, 11:52:03 AM »
Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I am thankful for my family, and for my extended who have shown me unconditional love and support, and for all of our armed service members who have made and continue to make so many sacrifices for our freedoms and well being.  Please remember them and their families, many who are apart from each other on deployment around the globe.

We all have suffered a loss of a loved one at one time or another, or have had an ailment, some more recent than others. Let us all cherish the memories of those who have ascended before us, and may God be merciful and heal those of us who are hurting.  God Bless America.

Thank you for the kind wishes, Al. Often, we get so caught up the business of daily life that we fail to appreciate the many blessings we enjoy. The Thanksgiving holiday gives us a chance to slow down a bit and ponder these things. Despite all the issues we face today, we are still most fortunate to live in this land and to enjoy more freedom than most of the people in the history of the world have known. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Amidst the trials of aging, I will add my $.02 of thanksgiving for all that I have and I'm reminded of something I read a long, long time ago...

" All we have and call our own, once belonged to someone else and they are now dead..and we will be"...

God's grace and salvation are the only enduring things we ever CAN count on...everything else is ephemeral...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
