First Wisconsin Deer B&A Harvest

89 years ago this month the "Father of Modern Bowhunting" Roy Case harvested the FIRST fully licenced and documented deer with B&A in Wisconsin in 1930

It is great to see these old photos and to hear stories from the old days. My oldest picture goes back to 1969, if I could find it. Maybe some day my grand kids will see it and wonder about the "old days".

Little known fact about this photo. The deer was harvested in northern Wisconsin however this photo was actually taken in a park not far from Roy's home in Racine WI. The person who took the photo was Ray Hammerstrom a friend of Roy's. Before Ray passed away several years ago he gave me the original negative for this photo as well as others showing Roy with his broadhead collection.
