New member and first archery deer
« on: December 18, 2019, 05:02:51 AM »
Hello all,

I am a new member here and just wanted to introduce myself and share my first archery deer. I am Nick Schraft from Western Massachusetts. I got into hunting into a few years back. I was drawn to traditional archery right off the bat and got a new Bear Grizzly bow and shooting became somewhat of an obsession. Long story short I got my first archery deer on November 9th of this year. I set a stand up on a pinch point that had plenty of deer traffic and that morning this gorgeous 10 pointer came past at 10 yards. I double lunged him and he went 15 yards stopped, wobbled and fell over dead. What an amazing feeling after all the practice, hard work and scouting! Anyways, I look forward to being part of this forum.

-Nick

One heck of a beginning buck-congrats and enjoy the journey.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Congratulations Nick. Beautiful buck. Unfortunately that buck is gonna be a pretty high bar to surpass in the future.
