Info on "Longriver" longbows
« on: April 12, 2008, 12:16:00 PM »
I'm looking for info on my Longriver "Elk" longbow. I was told it was made by someone on the east coast. Can't confirm that. The one I have is a very light, hard shooter. Looks like Cocabola riser and cedar lam in limbs. It has taken 5 turkeys and a nice KS whitetail.
Just wondering about the maker and if they are still being made.

Longrivers were made in Conn. The bowyer is A.Gus DellaGhelfa. He is a true artist when it comes to creating a bow.Consider yourself fortunate, as you own one of the best made.
