Arrow Dynamics EX Lite Traditional
« on: December 27, 2019, 07:02:16 PM »
Anyone shooting the AD Traditional Ex Lite in a 45lb bow?  If so what is your arrow setup. Point weight and which insert ?

Thanks in advance.

I'm at 55# but l was close to making it work. Wasn't perfect but not bad with 250 up front. 4 Fletch 5" so that helps it act stiffer. Just a data point for you.

I wouldn't use any of their products if I were you.  I know too much.

Could you provide any more info Terry?  You are not the first person I’ve heard say this. It seems a few years ago they were being recommended pretty heavily, I have some but was never really happy with the way they shot for me. I’ve been kicking around the idea of going back to aluminum...Mike

I'm curious too. Every time the subject of AD arrows comes up the last year or so some negatives are brought up but not really explained...kinda beat around the bush about them. I have been using the AD lights for a lot of years. I first tried them because of recommendations from here. I also have been using the new stingers the last couple of years.  Maybe I'm not good enough to tell the difference between a good arrow and a bad one or maybe I've just been lucky but I've narry a problem with them..extremely tough, good for weight and spine from shaft to shaft and are very flexible as far as what bows I can shoot them with. Never had a problem getting them either.  So....whats up?

I used to get my arrows from dynamics through a guy named Gary Hunsicker.  Often times I traded out arrows for a sponsorship...... Those arrows not only came to me but they also it to Rob DiStefano, St Jude and many many other members as I gave a lot of them away because I believed in the product.

Well the owner wanted to deal with me after dealing with Gary for 16 years.

It didn't take long for me  To find out that Gary was running  Interference for their inferior quality. Gary was taking good care of me by culling arrows and sorting them and sending me top quality shafts.

After my dealings with Gary stopped I found out why everyone else was having quality issues, spine issues inconsistency issues, customer service issues and on and on.

The owner was then banded because he would not pay his sponsorship bill after BS,n me for 9 months.

I'm really pissed off that I did not understand this was going on with members here.  I kept recommending these arrows even though hearing horror stories.... I just had a hard time believing them..... Now I feel horrible for recommending these people.

Thanks Terry! I was one of the members who got advise from you about this product,  in fact, you sent me a test arrow, black shaft with guess what, green 4 fletched.  I still have that arrow hanging on the wall above my archery work bench.

Please know I may have been lucky but, I have used the product for many years, worn the fletching off several and stripped them down and re-fletched.  I am still using them and have never had a problem.  In fact, I have a dozen trad lites purchased years ago, prepped and ready to fletch now.

I thank you for your honesty, your integrity and your concern for this small community of like minded individuals.

Fear not, for I AM with you,
Be not dismayed, for I AM your God,
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Terry:

Yes sir.  The arrows that I got shot really well.  However I did my "homework" as to spine, insert and broadhead weight, fletching and even how release and shooting form effected these arrows.

I am somewhat like Glenn.  I have some older unused (interference) shafts sitting around as backups to those set to hunt.

I do understand your post.  Damn shame..... but thanks so much for the reply...…  Thank you.

I had some of those really good ones about 15-18 years ago. Before they had wood grain. Terry kept saying it doesn't matter what you put on them. Just shoot anything. Damn he was right. They were great. Still have some. Amazing how they always hit. Then I ordered some with wood grain and couldn't hit anything. Then back to the black ones and then ordered 2 doz w match grade straightness. They were so stiff that they must have spined 120 lbs or more. I really think that new tapered stinger is the best design for traditional bows but the spine and straightness is never the same w each order. You can't work up a tune and then buy a batch to make up because they are never the same. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on them.
I'm back to aluminum now. It's easier!

One batch of woodgrains I sent back to three rivers was more crooked than any wood shafts. I once tried heating some to straighten them. I kinda worked a little. But if you heat too much they collapse.
I killed deer with them. They are the toughest I ever used.
The owner sent me 6 stingers after I complained on TG. They came with no label or logo. I had to assume the size. They were straighter. I don't know what spine they are supposed to be because none are ever the same .330s I think.
