It may be double but that is ok, it calls for a second look. That is a really nice color combination.
If I'd known that I would live this long I'd have taken better care of myself.

Nice one Bob! I like the Sheoak, forgot that it's native to you folks. Shredd scored some nice Sheoak, somewhere here in the states.

Hope your not in danger down there. I feel for you folks. I know the feeling of dread that comes with fire season.

Thanks guys. Yeah Flem, most of the country is burning. Thousands of homes ,dozens of people gone. And we are just starting our summer. Whole country is dry as tinder box. Ok where I live , closest was about 20 mile away. It' s out now. worst thing is in some places , morons are actually lighting these fires.

Mike and I built a new laminating box that we can use for a multitude of different things from kiln drying, to curing smooth-on builds.  5x200watt bulbs underneath on individual switches to give us a little better control of the heat.  I found an "inkbird itc1000" thermostat control to adjust the temps. Still have to wire that in and the fan to circulate the air, but so far it's working pretty well. Got up to 220f and held pretty good. This is a new design for me. So we'll see how it works when we're done. We Should have it finished tomorrow.

Good call on the muffin fan. I put one in my box some time ago and it was one of the best oven improvements, besides ditching the light bulbs for a baseboard heating element.

Having a small fan not only helps with wood drying but it also helps prevents hot spots by keeping the heat more evenly distributed.
Good idea keeping all the needed equipment together in one unit. Adding rollers to the bottom will make it easy to move it to out of the way when not needed.

Looks good! I've been thinking of making one that has a workbench top.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

We went a bit tall for it to have been a good bench top after the casters, but with the foam insulation, even after an hour at full blast, the outside is still cool to the touch, so I'm sure it would work out well for a bench top.

I just figured out that my newly configured hot box storage is handy for cooking also.
My control box cord is long enough, I can jack it back up to the ceiling
Damn thing takes up a lot of floor space in a small shop.

Flem, I added casters to one end of my box(similar to yours) and when not in use I stand it on end and roll it into a corner out of the way. If I leave it horizontal it seems to collect all sorts of things on top.  :dunno:
