Looks good, but you cut the shelf on the wrong side. That's never going to work for me.  :bigsmyl:

Ever have any issues with the fades popping loose on a design like that?

I spent some time freezing in the woodshop this afternoon (-16C with a brutal wind chill out, winter has returned with a vengeance). Sorted out a problem I was having with my thickness sander tapering the edge of the lam on one side (the issue was dust build up under the sanding paper wrapped on the drum) and made some jig parts for my glue up form. Along with the experimental Perry Reflex bow I am trying an adjustable form design that will allow me to make most any side profile I want on a glue up without having to endlessly make plywood forms that cost $$$ and only make one shape. If it works out I will post pics and details. If not it may never be spoken of again...  :knothead:

It will hold
The fades are inside the core.
all of these can be made on 1 form

I've had this 6" rule for many years and I use it for sanding too. 3/4"wide

I do something similar but I use a hacksaw blade with the teeth ground off...  I also take a used 6" disc of sandpaper with a sticky back, cut it to size and fold it over the hacksaw blade and stick it to it... Now when I fold sandpaper over the blade it does not want to slide around...

I want my tip belly underlays to be flat grain so I got a small piece of scrap

Sand on the edge  sander and resaw cut and sanded some veneers to .025

Cut some Horn/Osage/Bocote for tip overlays

In the oven, I leave the door cracked open for about 100/120* for 6 hours and the next day I start back on it

Getting closer on my FHLB. Needs to lose about 3lbs. Got some of the TB sealer on the riser today. Not that I planned it but the green glass looks neat peeking out in the throat.

High on Archery.

No bows made for me this year. I did make some new broadheads. My earlier ones the tangs just does not secure them in the arrow shart very well. So I doubled their lengths from .5" to 1", so the whole head is about 3" long. the tang is 1" by  .25" give or take. I found that not only do they really get secured better they added weight has tamed some of the arrows better. I am using old circular saw blades.
