Yeah I couldn't wait until Tuesday  :biglaugh:  Came home on lunch and did a rough cleanup. No air bubbles!

Finished up the bow I posted earlier that the veneers split on. I really like the bow other than the cosmetic flaws. I think it's going to SD Bowhunters to be raffled off at the banquet.

Awesome job 4 point.  I actually like it with the split in the veneer.  Great looking bow.

Thanks Chris, if I was keeping it for myself I would look for some copperhead skins to put on it. That's some nice curly maple in that bow your working on. Gonna be a looker!

I like the split veneer also. That bow has so much character, it does not detract, but adds to it.
Speaking of character, that tiger Maple is beautiful

Really nice bows guys. That little split takes nothing away from that bow.

Here's a unbraced pic. It's a 60" bow and riser is 18"s.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, feels good to be back in the game again.  Shout out to Kenny for producing top notch materials!

In other news, I added a new level to "scariest thing I have ever done to a bow" today by tapering the limbs with a table saw :biglaugh:

Almost done with this one. Apparently I was too much in a hurry to apply the last coats of finish and had a few run-out on the limb.
Got to do some more sanding before final coat.
Part of the learning curve I guess !
