Not much EG, I take the glue first on the bandsaw and band sander.

That cut sanding belt is an excellent idea! I have always glued down multiple 8X11 sheets of sandpaper in line, but it's not a good solution. You can end up with a lumpy or slightly uneven surface or the edges start lifting at some point. Then you have to clean off the glue residue.

Helped bro put new blades on his 12" planer . Had no jig to set blades so we made some...

Final check we ran a walnut 1x8 thru and planed both sides, it was .001" off from one side to the other!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I had to postpone my Micarta or Diaper-carta. Depends on your point of view what to call it. Had more coffee to drink. It's like a connected circle of function, coffee, diaper, paper, phenolic.....
Love these things for cutting paper

New addition to the shop...  Modified a drill press and chucked a 3 3/4" x 5" inflatable drum...  Multiple speed also if I choose...

I might have missed it, but how do you lay it up? Between a couple of boards and a stack of weight, in a press, vacuum bag???

Steve, I'm going to vac press it. I used to use a two sided tray and clamps, but it was not ideal. The vacuum is awesome. Not only does it press the crap out of it, but it eliminates any air voids.

Bue, I use this System Three Clear Coat. It's low viscosity, I think it's 400-600 CPS. It wets out the paper or fabric real fast and it has a long pot life.

I was going to do this today and document it, but a steering rack said no way dude.
I think after I get done crawling around under my car I'm going to relax and watch "The Omega Man"  :goldtooth:

Hey Shredd, does that drum have some give to it? I like the idea of a drum sander thats conformable.

This is some inflatable drums I have, they all have hard ends. I like the one Shredd posted better.
