Steve, I'm going to vac press it. I used to use a two sided tray and clamps, but it was not ideal. The vacuum is awesome. Not only does it press the crap out of it, but it eliminates any air voids.

Bue, I use this System Three Clear Coat. It's low viscosity, I think it's 400-600 CPS. It wets out the paper or fabric real fast and it has a long pot life.

Right on, I've done a few wet vac-bag layups for RC gliders, so I know the joys of a low viscosity resin and no air bubbles  A short term work colleague makes composite wooden bikes (as in wood plus composites) and uses some really high end/tech stuff like pre-preg boron and autoclaves and I've been given an invite to come have a look when he heard I was into wood bows and composites in general.

Errr, what's the hand on the bench doing?

I wish!
I would love to check out what Steve's pal is making. I've seen some composite bikes and Bamboo bikes, they are way cool. It sounds like he has some equipment. I covet an Autoclave.

There is many words in English that I do not know the meaning of.
When you say that an epoxy have a low viscosity, does that mean it is thin or easy to spread so a brush can be used?

Means it's thinner but doesn't define it by any particular scale.

Always thought your English was pretty good.

Most epoxy manufactures use a "centipiose" or CPS scale to measure viscosity or how a material will flow.
For reference, water has a CPS of 1, motor oil would be in the range of 200-500 CPS, EA-40 would be 100,000+CPS!!!

Bue just replace the word viscosity with thick or thickness...   So another wards high viscosity would be very thick as in honey and low viscosity would be less thick as in water...

Think I better you speak English than me...

the state of being thick, sticky, and semifluid in consistency, due to internal friction.
"cooling the fluid raises its viscosity"
a quantity expressing the magnitude of internal friction, as measured by the force per unit area resisting a flow in which parallel layers unit distance apart have unit speed relative to one another.
plural noun: viscosities
"silicone oils can be obtained with different viscosities"

Thats decent quick epoxy. I've got it in a syringe. I think it came from my local Ace hardware.
It cures harder than some other fast set epoxy's.

Looks good Mike!  :bigsmyl:

I like the green as well. One of these days I may have to build me a green one.
