That's just a small perk of attending the 2020 PBS Biennial Banquet in Springfield, MO. See flyer below. Just look at this list of donated items that you might be able to get for a great price in an auction or win in a bucket raffle. I'll add some photos on subsequent posts. The below list is probably only a third of the amazing donations that will be auctioned off. Most people bring the stuff with them to the Gathering and thus we don't know everything donated until we get it.

• Barebow! An Archer's Fair-Chase Taking of North America's Big-Game 29 donated by Dennis Dunn. BAREBOW! is a personal account of Dunn's 40-year odyssey to harvest all 29 huntable species of big game in North America, ranging from Whitetail Deer to Tule Elk to Grizzly Bear. In hushed tones of awe, patience and appreciation, Dunn takes his readers into the wild and woolly wilderness areas of North America. Remarkably, Dunn's odyssey began as an unmentored boy's interest in archery. His dream of joining North America's elite bowhunting fraternity of those who have taken North America's Super Slam would come much later. In BAREBOW!, outdoor writer Dennis Dunn teams up with two renowned wildlife artists, Hayden and Dallen Lambson, to produce an eye-catching and stirring account of North American wildlife, their habits and habitats, and the enduring connection made by one man in tracking, hunting and harvesting the North American Super Slam with a bow and arrow. Breathtaking in its illustrations and spellbinding in its storytelling, BAREBOW! is the must-have addition to every hunter's den, great room, or bedside table.
• Dennis Filippelli is donating a sample of his hand made leather products. Dennis makes some of the finest leather products available and we are excited to see what he donates.
• Dr. Paul Ladner donated a one-week unguided hunt for two in west central Illinois on private ground (Knox/Fulton Counties) for 2018/2019 season. There are three properties about 8 miles apart with a cabin for your use on the central property. 290 acres total with about 120 acres of timber and 80 acres of CRP. The remainder is in production agriculture. Properites connect to extensive timber/CRP fields. Some fixed stands are in place but most of my hunting is done from climbers. You are welcome to set stands as desired. There is a good turkey population and a turkey permit may give you some extra opportunities. Coyotes are frequently seen and no special permitting is required to hunt them. Bobcats may be very infrequently seen, special permit required for them. Drive in or fly to Peoria or Moline (both about 45 miles from properties). Cabin is small but comfortable with wood stove as well as propane heater, small bathroom, with shower and kitchen. There is a shed for processing and a freezer.

• Petrified deer antler donated by Gene Wensel. Gene describes the item as follows: "Here's something you won't find or see very often. It's a petrified whitetail buck shed antler. This is VERY rare…a treasure to pass down to your kids or grandkids. This is a museum class specimen sure to start a conversation or make us think of all the untold prehistoric stories. Most hunters, deer nuts, antler collectors, arrowhead and artifact people have never seen one. Many outdoorsmen don't even know they exist. Everyone has heard of pertrified wood and dinosaur bones but a petrified whitetail deer antler? Whitetails have supposedly been around for 3.5 million years. Interestingly, with the exception of subspecies distribution, whitetails have not changed much at all. They are the oldest living species of deer. This one is from the Pleistocene Era, which makes it a minimum of 11,000 years old, up to millions of years old. Its black color comes from minerals where it was buried in what is or used to be salt water. This piece came from the Cooper River drainage of South Carolina, nowhere near Monty Browning's house. It was discovered by a diver looking for dinosaur bones and other fossils.
