Blacktail bows Sitka recurve...looking for reviews.

Hey all I am looking for first hand shooting experiences with the takedown Sitka version of Blacktail Bows.
I am on the fence between a takedown Sitka and a takedown Columbian yet can’t come up with a whole lot of info not on the companies homepage when I do a google search.
I would like to here some reviews from those that own one or have shot one somewhere.
Other than the beauty of these things and the price tag what was your impression?
How did it feel during draw, release.
How did it sound?
How was tuning the bow.
What was your experience getting an arrow to tune well.
Any personal experience you would like to share would be extremely appreciated!

I have a 62" sitka 53# at 31"
A gorgeous bow, finish is probably the highest you can get in a bow, easy to shoot with a very good grip design for my taste, already hunting silent with the (good) stock string at 10.5 gpp arrow weight once you get the proper tuning made . Average speed wise (really not a speed queen) but a really good bow.

I have a 62" Sitka 52# @28" Cocobola/Myrtle. Gorgeous bow with impeccable workmanship!
My Sitka shoots where it points! It is very quite and shoots well with about ANY arrow within weight/spine range. It is simply a well made solid bow. Would not hesitate to buy another.

What quiver mounts do you have under those limb bolts?

Bow woods are wenge and bird eye zebrawood. The guys at blacktail bows sure know how to make a beautiful bow.
These are the great northern's quick mount.
Blacktail bow company are selling them. I ordered the quiver with the bow.
Lot of people think those bows are just wall hanger but NO:  they are really good hunting bows.

I tested the Sitka through the chrono this morning as I had a hour left for practice.
3 different arrow weights shot a few times. I have a 1-2 fps consistency in front of a chronograph. I kept the lowest speed. Bow is marked 53 pounds at 31 inches but 55 at my draw.

The results 18 yard group is ok with all the arrows, maybe the heavier on stiff side

You are interested in the Columbian as well you said.  It shoots as good as it looks.  Fairly radical limbs so really doesnt give anything up to the recurves and is more quiet shooting.  Riser is very slender with a lower grip and less palm swell than the recurves, but fits the hand like a glove and it is similar in overall shape to the recurves so to a Blacktail recurve shooter a Columbian will feel familiar.  Here are some pics of mine.

I ordered a 66" Elite VL last Dec. One of the smoothest bows I ever owned was a 66" Asbell Bighorn. I expect this one to be as good or better. I doubt I'll be disappointed.

I love my Sitka 47@28 cocobola And macasser ebony woods. Grip is the best I’ve found and basically identical to the Elite VL I had years ago.

It doesn’t mater whether you buy a recurve or LB you’ll end up with both eventually lol
