Planning a Spring Hog Hunt-help!
«

A friend and I have been trying to get together for a hog hunt for about 3 years now, and it looks like there will finally be time this April or May. I have never planned my own hunt-I know that Georgia has plenty of places-any tips from anyone on here?

GA is a big state. Largest southern state east of the Mississippi.
Where are y'all wanting to hunt near?

You can’t go wrong hunting any number of South Georgia WMA’s. I always steer the self guided folks to Chickasawhatchee or any in that region. Not sure if there will be conflict with any possible quota turkey hunts that month.

Not really sure, Terry. I've only been on one hog hunt in Warner Robins. That was on leased land. I think I read on here or somewhere about a hog island? Would like to know more. 😎 I was thinking WMAs, Jerry. Waiting for my friend to say whether they want to hunt on public or private land. Thank you for the suggestions.
