You can pick the size of your pics with TT and you don't have to go through an image service like imager or photobucket.  It's a straight post from the phone.  Not that I had a bunch to post from this past season.  One deer and two pigs.  It was a tough year.
I understand it may have things that make it more challenging to have involved for the web managers.  There are a couple of forums I use to frequent that c/wouldn't and I found other good sites that did and really only visit those sites from my desk top anymore.
For me the phone is my main mode of checking the archery forums.  Sitting in traffic, waiting on a lift to go down or come up, etc.  I think that as time goes on very few people will be using computers for much other than complicated work processes.  I only order stuff from the desktop though.

I have to agree TT was very easy to us and the pic posting was a no brainer.

unless tapatalk gets their software act together, it will not be installed in trad gang.

it's just fraught with issues and no matter what's done to the installed PHP  tapatalk mod package, internal software errors are created and we get bombarded with tapatalk emails telling us their software isn't up to date, even though we've installed the latest of their software.

talking to the tapatalk tech support is like talking to a tree - we get better help and answers from a tree.  :banghead:

Unfortunately I have no need to have a resizing app for any other of the forums I frequent.  So I will be content with this format that does make for easier reading and posting from my phone than the "default" format did.  I appreciate your help with that Rob.  Who knows if TT will hold up in the long run on other forums and I may be forced to change anyhow.  That's the thing about technology.   It is not idle or slow to change.

Okay I was able to use a screenshot pic to attach.  Doesn't automatically come up, have to tap on it but it posted.

i dunno what yer doing with regards to snapping a cellphone image and posting it.  with my android i can snap one or dozens of images and let the phone's resize app batch resize them all in perhaps 2 seconds.  posting attached images does need to be one at a time, however.

be careful with image size ONLY from the perspective of your browser - browsers have the ability to time out on large images, this is not an issue with trad gang software.  there is no need to post images that are larger than 1024 in either width or height, and for the most part 800 is more than perfect.

as to tapatalk - i mentioned there are lots of issues with that company and aside from that, trad gang would be subservient to their whims.  we prefer to be in charge of our own world.  installing third party software like tapatalk has caused the forum nothing but grief and the tapatalk people aren't at all responsive to their customers.

there is a current problem with ant's theme in that in will not allow posting inline attachment images, but it will always post attachment images.  i've been working on that for weeks and the testing continues.  it's actually not a problem with the theme, it's with the mod package that should allow inline attached images, but doesn't.

That's just it Rob, I don't have a resizing app on my android.

then just load this FREE google app - "Photo & Picture Resizer" ...

Uhm, probably not.  Poor reviews recently on that app.  It's not a big deal.  I'm good.

poor reviews?  ah the internet, such a place that knows and tells all.  the app works fine for what it does for me, reliably and quickly.  i'd wanna know what the poor reviews refer to.  no, i'm not a fan of google or microsoft or any of those mega outfits.  but if need be, i'll use them just as they use their customers.  and yes, it's a freebie app and there will be google ads.

and no, you won't be good, you'll be frustrated when loading large images using ANY web browser on any machine.

so think about it - how often are you posting forum images  if once in a while, the app is worth it.  if daily, go buy an image resizer app.

the bottom line is that unless a minor miracle occurs, there will be no tapatalk at trad gang.
