Tapa talk.
« on: February 12, 2020, 09:18:31 PM »
I have been using Tapatalk on my phone for a few months. Now not been working for several days. So I email Tapatalk about it. They informed me the TG plugin is outdated but they have contacted TG about the plugin. Anybody got info on that. Will we be able to use it in the futher. It was pretty handy to use.

instead of tapatalk, use the special trad gang mobile device theme.

here's how to access it ...

The difference is how easy it is to read, post, attach pics.  The print without it is too small to use on my phone where I do 99% of my forum viewing.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

you are currently using the forum default that's not mobile friendly.

change that to ant's recursive mobile theme, here's how ...

Yes that does make easier viewing.  Not as good as TT.  I use the night mode.  Idk.  This will work.  Except maybe for pic attachment.

Well I changed mine over. Then when on the PC it had changed it there to.

Is there some reason why you can not update the Tapatalk plugin?? It is way more easier -pics load really nice etc. and it dont mess with My PC settings.

NO.  this forum was accessed via my cellphone and using the Ant Theme.  the image was simply attached via my android cellphone.  nothing could be easier.  it took seconds, seriously.

in a word, no, because whatever theme you've selected within your profile - curve or ant - is how you'll view the forum and boards.

what is the problem yer having with the ant theme and logging into a computer rather than a mobile device?

while "ant's theme" isn't perfect by a long shot, it's better than the default "curve" theme for mobile devices.  there will be upgrades and new releases to ant's theme, to make it better.  tapatalk is a commercial enterprise, you must go thru their system "filters", and for the most part it's caused trad gang nothing but software and network grief.

when i began testing ant's theme, first thing i did was get a free image app loaded on my android.  the one i'm using is "Photo & Picture Resizer".  having an image resizer is MOST important.  this one is very easy to use, allows viewing all yer phone's stored images, you can select one image or a batch of images to resize.  most images taken with any digital device - cellphone or camera - are incredibly large on purpose, so that they may render maximum detail for creating hard copies ... the hard copies that 99.9% of us don't care about.  these digital devices create images that are mega pixel in width, some as large as 8000 wide.  my phone does about 5000 in width.  i resize ALL images to a sane 1000 wide at the most.  this also frees up a ton of space in my phone's memory bank.

now that i've got properly sized images that will not fail to load due to the browser timing out on too large an image, i'm set to post it.  with my android, i begin by adding the new topic or post text, then click the "Show attachments and options" arrow, click on "Browse" which opens up image choice sources on my phone, i select "Files" and i'm taken to my image gallery, i make the image selection to post, and then hit the forum "Post" button and it's a done deal.
