Alpha Gal Syndrome Cure
« on: February 16, 2020, 12:39:25 PM »
If youre a hunter, you should know about alpha gal syndrome.  Essentially it is an extreme allergy to mammal meat that is contracted by the bite of a lone star tick.  Ive had it for 16 years.

Recently I learned of an accupuncture treatment used to remove allergies called Soliman’s Auricular Accupuncture Treatment.  It involves a tiny needle being inserted in a specific spot in the ear. The needle is worn for three weeks.

This sounded like nonsense to me until I started talking to people who had done it.  I talked to hundreds of people who had literally removed their allergies with it.  So, for $180 I tried it.  And guess what, every night this week I have eaten gradually larger bites of beef and had zero reaction. Before this, I would have gone into full blown anaphylaxis.  Im taking it slow and it remains to be seen whether I am in total remission or not, but the results are staggering.

What’s especially frustrating is that the medical community HATES this stuff. You will get banned from food allergy boards for even mentioning it.  But it works!

Hoping this info can help someone else

Good luck with the long term results.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I'm glad that you're improving!

Years ago (1993?) at bear camp I guided a hunter from Georgia that was severely allergic to meat. He said that mushrooms helped him to somewhat ease his craving for meat because of the texture.

May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

Tell them to stop suffering. Alpha gal causes heart disease and probably cancer as well because of the inflammation.

I passed this on to a friend earlier. He came down with it a year or so ago. Hopefully he can find treatment and get some relief. Thank you for posting this.

This is interesting. I had Alpha Gal symptoms since the 90's, but wasn't diagnosed till 2014. I'll look into this for sure. Maybe some relief. As for the acupuncture, does the needle remain in your ear?

Direct quotes from sites of providers of this treatment:

"How could all of this cost so little, you ask?  Good question!  Well, perhaps it shouldn’t.  Considering the obscene amounts of money that is spent on allergy treatment, and how mediocre and temporary the results are… a treatment capable of correcting the problem should command a very stiff fee.  However, I would much rather help more PEOPLE overcome allergies, than charge a high fee.  So, I’ve set my fees for these services simply based on my time…not the current exorbitant costs of conventional allergy treatment… not based upon the value of my expertise, nor the time, money, and effort it has taken me to attain my knowledge and skills."

"“Once you get this procedure you do not just go out and eat whatever you want to. We have to take it very slowly."

"Symptoms of alpha-gal syndrome may lessen or even disappear over time if you don't get any more bites from ticks that carry alpha-gal. Some people with this condition have been able to eat red meat again after one to two years without additional bites."

Most people I am seeing go into full remission are eating whatever they want in the matter of a few months.  Some it is immediate

I'm skeptical,  are there any peer reviewed studies on this?

Dr Soliman is gathering the data on it to write the first on alpha gal but auricular accupuncture has been written on before.  There was a study published in the year 2000.  A google search will pull it up. I was skeptical too until I started talking to hundreds of people who couldnt even pet a dog without going into anaphylaxis and are now eating meat again

There doesn't seem to be any conventional medical treatment for this allergy.  As long as someone is not turning his back on something that is an approved treatment, why not try unconventional things, as long as they are not dangerous in themselves?  Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years, and as long as the needles are sterile, there seems to be little risk in trying it.  I have taken unconventional supplements for arthritis, my heart, digestion, etc, for years, and I think I have lots of company.  I think they help, although I have no scientific study to back me up.  At least I’m 75 years old and still shooting!

I am a firm believer in acupuncture. I was certainly skeptical at first, but after trying it for multiple issues, I’m sold on it. Find a reputable practitioner and go for it

There are not a ton of people trained in Dr Soliman’s method yet but if you join the S.A.A.T alpha gal remission page on facebook, you will find a sticky with providers listed by state.

This post really intrigues me! I'm a firm believer of chiropractic care. Recently because of a good friend I tried upper cervical chiropractor care even though my insurance didn't cover it. My insurance does cover standard chiro care just not upper cervical chiro care.  To be related to traditional bowhunting I was to the point I couldn't walk comfortably to scout or shoot my bow. Long story short it's made life worth living again. Taking long walks in the woods and shooting my bow regularly now. Feel 20 years younger.

Now to get really interesting. The buddy who introduced me to the upper cervical chiropractic care ( who is also a trad shooter) got down with sciatic nerve pain to the highest level. Even after several chiropractic adjustments with no relieve ended up going to the emergency room one weekend. Of course like regular doctors do they tried to induced drugs, steriod shots etc. and recommended opiods which he refused with no positive results after a few hours.  They said he had a pinched nerve in his spinal column and the only answer was surgery.

After another friend recommended DRY needling and he immediately felt relief. They call it dry needling because it's not a injection. But basically acupuncture at a deeper level. He went in for his first appointment and could barely walk or sit.He was in horrible pain.   Left feeling great after the first dry needling. Two follow up appointments and he's good as new. Makes a guy seriously wonder about "modern" medicine that gives you drugs to mask the problem that gives you worse side effects.

I think modern medicine is great for after youve had a heart attack, had a brain aneurysm, been in a car accident, etc but it is obviously doing nothing to prevent all these diseases.  Heart attacks, cancer, alzheimers, etc. all are on the rise and a quick study of most any modern hunter gatherer populations shows that these diseases dont even really exist in natural living groups.  Disease has become normal to us which is a very strange thing.  As far as allergies go, really the only two animals that get them are humans and the animals we care for.  I think that says a lot.

Anyway, Ill continue to chart my progress with meat reintroduction.  So far Ive tried small portions of steak several times, pork in egg rolls, and a bunch of different types of cheeses without issue.

And I went into severe anaphylactic shock back in october so I know this thing has not just dissipated on its own.  If I told you what the dr was able to do to me on that table, it would sound absolutely ridiculous but it made me a believer.
