My new bow... Fire Fly FX by Jim Jones
« on: April 14, 2008, 08:23:00 AM »
Thought I'd share my new bow, it's the first bow I've ordered new for me.

I don't think I could have picked a better bowyer! Jim is super nice guy, great to work with and the quality of his work is top notch!

Specs 60" 51#@28" Cocobola, Curly Maple, Limbs curly maple.

Strung profile..

Unstrung..

Riser...

Backside of Riser..

Now Jim will kick my butt for this pic, but here he is working in the shop.   :p

Thanks Jim for a great bow! She's shoots great!

Sharp looking bow.  Just when I thought I had my next wood combo decided on, you have to show me this. Might have to rethink.

Thanks guys, I like the dark/light wood contrast in bows.

I hear ya Nor'easter after visiting Jim's shop and him showing me all the different woods, I've got a few ideas for my next bow!!

Gator, yup the grip fits me like a glove...helps to live close enough to the bowyer that with one visit he can tweak the grip to fit your hand!

I forgot to take a good pic of the limbs..this was before the bow was finished.

That's one beauty of a bow! Love the wood combo too. I've been thinking my next bow will be a three-piece, what is the contact info for Jim?
