I may have a new favorite Primaltech
« on: February 22, 2020, 07:04:16 PM »
Randy, AKA Crittergetter, delivered me the prettiest bow I ever expect to own today atva TBOT shoot at the Irving Bowhunters Association club.  It was a nice range with good people running it.  Some challenging shots but none that I considered excessively long.  But several were through tight spots in brush and trees.  I did manage to kill one.  I was shooting my longbow he built for me in 2018.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

So after a fun shoot and a burger I headed home to string her up and see if I could hit anything with her.  I still need to get the string stretched in and play with BH and NP but I think I may be able to shoot this bow.  After a few three arrows ends I was grouping fair at 15 yards.

After a short break and maybe a refreshing cold beverage I decided to shoot a few 3 arrow ends at 25 just because.
Let me say 25 is really my any where close max range.  The last of three ends though I felt like I'd found a new extension of my arm.

Randy is a craftsman, an artist and a darn good guy.  I would recommend his bows to anyone who wants a quiet, smooth shooter.
This bocote riser is dead in the hand.  The limbs smooth in the draw and it gets the arrow there quick.
This could become my new favorite.
Just don't tell my wife.

Yes and I apologize for the low light pics.  They do not do it justice.  You can get a better look on his book of faces page.
While it is a looker I am more of a utilitarian and if I had to choose ugly shooter or pretty hand candy I'd choose ugly every time.  However I'm hitting the target easily at 35 yards with this bow and I haven't even found my sweet spots of NP&BH yet.  Something that I've never been able to do with a single string barebow.
