Broom handle fighter and forged draw knife
« on: March 10, 2020, 01:18:29 PM »
Thought you guys might enjoy a few pics of a couple pieces I finished recently.

Broom handle 52100 drop point fighter. This one is lightweight with a full distal taper. File work on the spine and a dark etch. Redwood burl scales with a food many coats of tru oil. Sheath for this one is in the works.

Draw knife is differentially heat treated 1084 steel. Bowyers style with a straight blade and convex cutting edge. Knife scale style handles in laminated paduak and brass pins. These cut like no other I have seen.

Nice work
