Going to try changing from a tab to a glove, prefer cordovan, unless there is something better. What's a high quality one available?

When I use a glove (Cordovan tips) its an old Alaska Bowhunting Supply glove that I have had for some time. Its a great glove but I dont think they make them anymore. It does not have the heavily built up tips that I see so frequently.

I should say this glove has been around the block a time or three and is still in great shape. I do take care of it but I think at my age it will out live me. If you can find one, even used, I think I would grab it. I should have bought 3 or more even though this one is still going strong.

Just my thoughts.

Wow, the American Crossover looks sweet. Looks like one has heavy duty nylon webbing (?) on the tips, assume the is slippery like cordovan?

They have kangaroo that I have heard is unbeatable.
I've not tried that one but mine is elk and I really like it.
The one with the nylon weave is just a little too slippery for me but there's people out there that love that one.

All you have to do is trace your hand on a piece of paper and send it to them.
They will amaze you at how well it will fit.
And they are a pleasure to do buisness with.

American leathers crossover. If you shoot light bows or like more string feel the kangaroo leather crossover is a little slicker release. I just purchased a new crossover and sent my old one back for new finger stalls installed. It’s like a new glove again. As Fred Asbell penned in one of his books, if you really like something, make sure you have at least two in case they stop producing it. Hopefully John and Lori keep American Leathers going for a long time. Great people and service.

I've had a few gloves over the years. The one I am using the most is a Bodnik Speed Glove. Very comfortable glove made with Buffalo hide and the finger tips has what they call X8 fabric. I do feel the string and it slips off my fingers very smooth and quick.

I have three American Leather gloves, the Kangaroo, Crossover, and Big Shot.
All are good. If I were to buy another it would be either the Kangaroo or Crossover. But, I don’t shoot bows over the weight of 55 lbs

We all have different likes and dislikes. I went to a tab over the last few month after many years of using a glove. The grass is always greener..................

So looking at the sites suggestion to estimate measurement, I get ~ 7.25 inches, depending on where I define the wrist line, could go to close to 7.5 or 7. Says 7 is medium, 7.5 is large, waiting for email reply from American Leather but whats all your opinions, I do have small skinny wrists.

Give your measurements to AL and they will fit it like a glove for you😉. My glove that they make has large finger stalls, extra large body and 2xl wrist. Measure and they will get it right.

My hand measures just the same as yours, also skinny wrist and slim hand.When I got my AL FullShot some years ago, John sent me a medium and a large, to pick which fit better. I kept the large, the medium was small enough to be restricting.
