Jerry Welch of Welchman Longbow Company passed on March, 18, 2020.

Pat Welch, his lovely wife, asked me to share this information and that Welchman Longbow Company is no longer operating.

Below is a link to the Traditional Bowhunter Magazine website article about Jerry.

Please remember Pat and the rest of Jerry’s family in your prayers.

Lovely article and thanks for sharing.  Sounds like one of the nicer folk in this world has passed.  I'm not sure if there's too many of the newer breed coming through who would be able to or want to fill his vacant spot on the world.

I really enjoyed the article from TB 1993 and now this one. We all could hope to be remembered the way he replied he wanted to be 27 years ago in that article.

Very few left that can build bows with the quality and dedication that he displayed. Traditional Archery is much the poorer with his passing.

Another great man who I wish my path had crossed with.  To be fondly remembered is all we can hope for.
