Pronghorn arrow

Can anyone recommend an arrow/ broadhead combination for my 60" 53# at 28" takedown Pronghorn? I've tried 2016s and 2018s with 125 grain Magnus 2-bladed broadheads.These seem to be o.k. but not flying as well as I would like.I want to use this setup for deer and elk.Thanks!

What's your draw length? Sometimes you don't draw as long as you think you do. I draw my almost identical Pronghorn to 26", for example, and even a 2016 is stiff, unless I leave it long and add point weight. A 2016 spines at 61#, and the 2018 spines at 67#, FWIW. Good luck!

Mine is about 27.5" I also have the bad habit of short stringing!

I shoot 30 inch 2016s with a 125gr head out of my 64 inch Pronghorn, 52@28". I pull 28 1/2, so am getting  a little more. I suspect you should try a 2013 or 1916 out of yours.

Try 1916 or leave the 2016 long.

3555 Gold tip 100gr brass works for me. the Java in TX was taken off the team with this sit up.

My 52# 56" one piece likes cedars and 35-55 Goldtips, full length with a 175 grain tip.
Actually it isn't pickey and likes a lot of different shafts. (the hussy)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've never shot wooden arrows with my Pronghorn anyone you would recommend?

All I've found with my Pronghorns, as far as wood goes, is that if you match the spine of the arrow to the weight marked on the bow (57# bow, go for a 55/60 spine arrow) & fit a 125gn point, they always seem to fly perfectly, if left at 30"

Maybe just coincedence, but that's the way it's worked out with all 4 of mine so far.

I shoot woodies from mine. 52#@28", drawn to 26". 50-55 POC, 28", 160 grain point flies very well for me. If I were to drop to a 125 grain point, I'd probably go with a 45-50# shaft, but I like the extra weight. With your draw length, you would probably do well with the 125 grain point and 50-55# shafts. Leave them a little long to start with, and shorten a little at a time for perfect flight.
