We always hear about how smart pigs are. If they were really that smart, they wouldn't be within two counties of Pat.

Nice shootin' bud!

:biglaugh:  too true!  Thanks for the hunting post Pat and great shooting!

Well, was lucky enough to get a real nice sow last night.  Steep quartering away. Arrow passed in front of the heart, but exited the neck and left a nice blood trail for around 150 yards before I found her.  Been awhile since I have been this lucky.

NICE! I shot his hog, she spun on me and hit her really far back, low quartering away shot steep uphill angle...shot was kinda far, maybe 25 yards but I had waited for 30+ minutes waiting for the best shot I could get and it felt like that was gunna be the shot, and it was...anyways, I thought I was gunna be in for a long wait or a tense stalk and follow up shot in her bed...but  I cut her femoral or some artery similar in hogs cause she went down in 15 minutes 45 yards from where I shot her...in the wide open. She was really big, Im leaning against her in the pic. It looks like I'm long arming but you can see my knee against her. hoping to make a better shot in a few days on the next hog I get a chance at here in California!
