The Bullhead Strikes Again
« on: April 25, 2020, 09:32:04 AM »
My cousin Frank (FAV52) wanted me to post these pictures for him. Once again he has taken a turkey with a Magnus Bullhead and a traditional bow, his 45# Bear Kodiak Magnum. He says this is for the non-believers, lol! I'm hoping to add one myself if I can get the darn turkeys to cooperate. If it weren't for this covid-19 crap, I'd be hunting with Frank and already have something to post. I don't have near the birds at my place.

A closer look:

Still surrounded.

Well done.
This reminds me of about 15 or so years ago.
I was hunting on public land that has popular bike trails.
This wheel bow hunter walked way close to me while I was at the base of a tree. I  finally said something because he obviously didn't see me.
Startled him and he apologized to me and then seen my K-Mag.
He then pointed and asked me "Can you actually kill anything with that?"

Yeah, nothing died before they put wheels on bows.  :knothead:

congrats

I bounced a bullhead off a tom last weekend, 2nd time I have hit a tom squarely in the neck but just at the feather line. when then happens the  Toms gets back up. in this case he went out to 40 yards and strutted for 60 minutes before finally walking off..

I am going back to regular heads.

I have killed 3 turkeys with modern bows and bullheads with fantastic results.

This year I am back to trad and shooting this head I bought off the auction site. It flies great and I like the trocar tip as I think in a direct hit it should penetrate the neck instead of bouncing off....

What kind of head is that? I like the 4 blades over the 3 on the Bullhead.
