Dream bow I would have to say a hand engraved Blacktail with exotic wood. I call this my dream bow because it would be nice to have but very impractical.

With out a doubt my dream bow would be a 55# to 60# 2007 to 2010 Bear Kodiak Takedown Supreme. I could still kick myself for not buying one when they first came out.

I already have my dream bows.  In a recurve, it's a Bear Green Stripe TD.  In a hybrid, it's a Morrison Shawnee and an ACS.  In an ASL, it's a Jet, Northern Mist and J.D. Berry. Really not looking for anything else.

Already have mine...  Bear custom Kodiak T/D
Ive wanted one since about 1984.... Got out of the Marines. Was working in a Bait/Archery shop. Bowhunter's Warehouse had them for $269. You could buy a top of the line compound for that kinda money!?
Bought one from Big Jim, back in 2015. Never looked back.....
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

My two bows are still dream bows to me... I would not part with them!

But I'd love to get a 64" Cari-bow Silver Fox with all the fancy trimmings!  Or a Javaman Assyrian 2-piece!

I used to try talking myself into commissioning Ed Scott to create an art piece that served as a bow. I loved every opportunity I had to talk with him. That would be a dream bow.

One of Dean's Firestyx would be a dream bow. For many reasons. Like many, I miss him.

Randy 'Crittergetter' Madden of Primal Tech made me a dream bow. It is a two piece, fire-breather, but extremely quiet, longbow. My very first new or custom stick. I have the honor and pleasure of calling Randy a friend and hunting partner. He and I are working on designing my next dream bow, a three piece with both longbow and recurve limbs.

John Scifres crafted my first dream bow for my very first elk hunt. It is a stunningly beautiful osage selfbow that still shoots as well today as it did when he made it nearly 18 years ago. It is the only bow I've ever really named and call it Ittai - look it up. Of all my earthly possessions, this is the one I cherish the most. John has been a friend, a brother, a hunting partner, an advisor and a rock in times of need.

Another dream bow was gifted to me by Mickey Lotz. It is a maple board bow, backed with Cooter Skin and stained osage yellow. Ferret named it Anomaly. I call it Fauxsage. Mickey and Diane were like camp parents to my sons during the years I was able to drag them to various rendezvous' and gatherings. Their friendship is priceless.

I'm slowly...very slowly...working on a dream bow of my own making. TIMO handed me a stave of osage, from what he called The Century Tree, back in '03 at MoJam. Tim, Mickey and John all three advised and got me finally started on whittling it down at the 20th annual MoJam. My plan is to get it to be a functional, curved tip rocket launcher.

The Trad Life has been responsible for a lot of great dreams.  :campfire:

I’m living the dream with my new Primal Tech bow! Myrtle burl, walnut burl, and claro walnut, with kudu horn tips, limb caps, and riser overlays. I’m sure it’s the most beautiful bow I’ve ever owned, and fast and deadly too!!!!!!

My dream bow back in the mid-1980s was a Bear Kodiak Takedown. I always wanted one. When I ETSed out of the active Army in November of 1988 after eight years I got a bonus to re-enlist in the Army National Guard. So since I had some extra cash I bought my first Bear Kodiak Takedown in 1989. Now I own five of them. But like I said in my first post I wish I would of bought a 2007 to 2010 Bear Kodiak Takedown Supreme with the zebrawood riser and clear glass limbs. They're a beautiful bow.

Well... I already have my matching set of Toelke's. A heavy 64" SS recurve, and a light 66" Whip. So I guess I'll just list the other bows I'd like to try someday, hoping one of them somehow is even better than what I have now. A dream bow would have to out shoot my recurve.

Bows to try:
1. Border or Morrison super curve limbs on a Stalker ilf handle. I'd love to see what those limbs do at my draw length.
2. Tall Tines recurve, since my buddy Michael is making them now
3. a 64" Black Widow curve, don't remember the model right now.
4. Stalker longbow. If it can handle my draw length.

I think for me it’s a plainjane flat out shooter that I built myself.

Should be here today or tomorrow. Toelke chinook.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.
