Dale Dye RIP

I just got a very sad phone call. Dale Dye fell down a stairs yesterday, broke his neck and has passed away. He was not only one of the best bowyers ever, but a very good man. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. Never owned on of his bows but respected his reputation and contribution to the traditional community immensely.
Robertson, Miegs, Asbell, Silvertip(Shafer), Strunk, Brackenbury, Schultz and Dye. Some passed on and some still with us, however these guys all helped carry traditional archery through the lean years with the utmost professionalism and craftsmanship. Thank you for your contribution to the sport Dale. RIP

This is a true loss to traditional bowhunters. Not only was he a world class craftsman but a great human being. Dale made at least six bows for me over the years. Every one was a work or art. One had ELEVEN different kinds of woods in it. I recently mentioned to someone how he and I joked about the fact I killed my Sable in Zimbabwe with the same bow I used to shoot carp with. Prayers to all his family and friends. bw
