I was fortunate today to get an arrow in a tom. I was hunting with my buddy Tom and we had a great time. We almost had a double. Tom may add some thing but here are a couple pics. for now.

Jesse made an awesome 15 yard shot on a spooky tom. I was very impressed, but was more  in awe of the way Jesse took off after the bird and wrestled it to the ground and got it in the sleeper hold.   :notworthy:

In all seriousness I have not had so much fun in a long time. It was so cool to see Jesse connect today. Hope you bought another tag bud, we got some more to go after.

That was quit the chase and wresting match now wasn't it Tom. Tomorrow is going to be your day. I can get another tag but cant hunt until the end of the month.

Now that is what you call being in the moment.
Dang I didn't realize the extra tag was only after April 30. Guess we will have to get ready for some bear till then!

Jesse,
Awesome turkey!  You coming down to the ITB carp shoot now that you don't have the excuse of turkey season?

Elk ninja when and where is the carp shoot? I might be able to since the snow is still way to deep to get in and bear hunt.

We were not using a blind just the terrain and brush to hid in. It was about a fifteen yard shot sitting down. My bow was a Cascade Nighthawk mag. 70# @ 28 and I was shooting laminated birch arrows and they were tipped with Zwickey Deltas.

Jesse,

The carp shoot is June 7th at C.J. Strike down here by Mountain Home.  It would be a bit of a drive but it would be good to have some people from up north come down. Congratulations on the turkey, I am hoping to get out on Saturday and see what I can find. I think that the dates for some upcoming events are posted on the ITB website if you want to check that out.  Good luck with the bear hunting! Hopefully we will see another successful picture from you soon.

Good Luck!
Clayton
