A young buck and an old stag go into the woods.

A fellow tradganger and I got together today at waddell wildlife refuge. Jim Wright reached out to me when he saw my post about my chinook and told me he was a fan of toelke as well (he brought his super d). So we got together and shot a three d course which was a blast. I had no idea that a full fledge course was so close to my house.  It's really special when trad archers get together imo. After shooting the course we took a couple of hail Mary's at the 60 yard target on the archery range (we had the whole place to ourselves). Afterward, we fly fished a nearby lake and I got to watch Jim land a huge bass on his bamboo fly rod. Definitely plan on getting together again and may even take a picture. .... dropped the ball on that one.  After all every young buck needs an old stag to show him how it's done.... Jim's a great shot and a class act.

Pine. It was certainly refreshing. As fred used to say "nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow". I could literally feel the stress of the week melting away with each shot (this week sucked at work). The company was good, conversation interesting, and I felt we both shot pretty well to boot. Definitely going to bring the kids here to shoot 3 D.

So, Is the archery range at Waddell park open? Use to shoot ARTAC shoots there.
