Some prayers please
« on: May 17, 2020, 11:29:08 PM »
In March my youngest nephew passed way. In April I lost another nephew due to suicide by police. I also lost two friends to covid19 in late April. This evening I got a call saying that my sister in law passed away suddenly. I've had about all I can take. Asking for prayers of understanding and some guidance.

Mike,

I can offer prayers and you wouldn't be posting here if you didn't have a modicum of faith.

As for Guidance all I can share is that we're promised that we're never alone...

You've experienced a great deal of loss and death in recent months and I cannot imagine how awful that must feel!

All I can offer is to repeat that old saw that, "God never gives us more then he's willing to give us strength to handle"

We as humans often draw lines in the sand and 'That's as far as I am willing to go"... but that is OUR way, not His!

I'm not much of a scripture hound, but there are passages where we're promised that as we face trials, the Lord will walk with us...

I'm also reminded of "Footsteps in the Sand" where sometimes there were ONE set of footprints and sometimes two as Christ walked with the Author, but the speaker questioned Christ as to why, in his darkest moments the lord abandoned him... and JESUS replied, "my Son, I did not leave you--- there are only one set of prints for then is when I carried you"

***********
I always loved that ditty... perhaps it will have meaning to you....

Right now that is all I've got but I will continue to pray for you, your family and the losses you all have experienced...

Keep the SON in your eyes! :notworthy:
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

No words we say can lessen the sense of loss your family feels, but at least you know that we all care. Prayers are humbly offered.

Mike,
My condolences and prayers for you and I am praying as I type this that your Faith stays strong in our Lord Jesus.
We are living in some really scary times and lots of folks are losing loved ones and we strive to understand what is going on with this world.
We can just Pray and ask God to forgive us of our Sins and receive our "Daily Bread" then watch as each day as a new sun rises and sets.
I'm thankful for each breath He gives us and when a Loved one or very close person we care about is no longer here with us We pray they have made reservations for the life we live here to the Life our Heavenly Father has prepared for his children by knowing His only begotten son has taken our sin and took our punishment to the cross.
I pray all those you love have excepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and you have a peace in your heart knowing that they are with the Lord.
It still hurts us and pains us inside when we lose someone no doubt .
I thank Doc Noc for putting in words of comfort for All of us and I know he isn't perfect and neither am I but together we all come here to lift one another up in prayer cause We care for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ and we are a family.
Mike just know we are here for you in this time of sorrow..God Bless you and be with you !

The Bible says "ALL things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to HIS purpose". HIS purpose is HIS will, and that is that everyone come to know and trust in HIM. It can be hard to FEEL that when we are going through hard times, but our faith isn't dependent on our feelings, just our belief. Somehow God is using this in a positive way, even though the enemy  is trying to use it for detriment. My words might not be comforting, and I can understand that because I've been where you are, but I can also look back on the hard times and can see how God has used those times to draw me closer to Him, just as HE's doing with you now. The fact that you are calling out to HIM now proves that. Like what Doc said, it's in these times that Jesus carry's us.
Lord, strengthen our brother and give him peace in these hard times. Comfort him as the Good Shepard that you are.
Draw him close and hold him in your arms. Lord use these unsure times to give him the surety of yourself. Send angels to
minister to him today. Meet him where he is now Lord. In Jesus strong and holy name, Amen.

From reading of your losses, I cannot help but think of Job and all the losses he suffered.   Hang in there and know that we here to support you.

May the good Lord comfort you as only He can.

Prayers are sent to you on high.  No words that I can I say to you will take away the pain you feel and the numbness in your heart from your losses.  Know this though, you are NEVER alone on your journey in life.  Our Lord is with you, and WE are with you.  Prayer Warriors never give up hope and maintain faith.
Please take comfort in knowing that your loved ones are God's loving embrace, and he is there for you to fortify your strength during this dark time in your life.
