Another 50s style recurve post
« on: June 14, 2020, 02:18:26 PM »
Still on my quest for the perfect (for me) 50s style recurve. I heard Wade Morris on a podcast last week. Didn’t know the guy but he use to build bows for Saxon, which I wasn’t familiar with either. But anyway, he’s building a new 50s style called the Yeti. Not a lot of info on it so I messaged him. Quick and friendly response. Got some pics of the Yeti sent to me and it looks dang near perfect to what I’m looking for. Minus being a 60 incher. I’d prefer 58 but not a deal breaker. To get to my question...anyone done business with Wade or shot his bows? I’m still a ways away from getting my next bow,  but want as much info as possible before picking my next bow and bowyer to work with.

I used to have a 60" Saxon that I killed several deer with, good bow. I had a friend that wanted to get into trad archery but didn't have much cash, seemed like I wanted a new bowhunting partner more than I wanted to keep that bow so I sold it to him cheap. He killed a nice little Michigan U.P. buck with it at my camp the first year that he hunted with it, good bows.

I have a Kadiak that Wade built for me...very fast. 50 @ 32....I shoot a 650 grain arrow @ 170 fps. Finish work is impeccable. If price is not an issue, check out the Kadiak. Tell him Scott gave him a thumbs up. Scott.
