I have been hearing the siren call from my workshop lately, so I picked up a riser I had made and started flattening some bamboo for the back and belly. I chose a nice piece of yew for the core and I tapered it. So now I’m just about ready to glue this one up, but I have a question. I’m making this bow a deflex/reflex style and it’s going to be 62” long. The riser is 19” long and it has long, thin fades so they should flex pretty good. What I’m not sure of is whether I should add a power lam. I’m looking to get between 45# and 50# draw at 28”.
