In Honer of Damon Howatt Bows
I will call it "Orange Orange"
60" Recurve shooting for 40/45# 1-3/4" Caramel glass I got from Kenny, It will have snake skins also.
1st one off the form.
I still need my side washers and a 6" wide base to keep the lower form straight .
Here are my Victims--Left to right
All this will be Orange when finished, the picture don't show very well
Thuya Burl
Thuya Burl--not going to use this one
Dymondwood Cocobolo from Rosewood
Some knife scales from Hawaii--don't remember what they are
Not going to use the Thuya behind the scales
Bamboo floor
I cut my boo floor 1-3/4+ and use a 24" scale clamped to the edge sander, run my pieces threw and keep bumping the straight edge in until I get to 1-3/4" wide
I use my Grizzly Baby Drum sander to get the bulk of thickness and run them threw this thickness sander "The Hog" Laugh if you want to, this little thing is very very accurate, it get's all the snipe and bumps out. I can grind the glue side of fiberglass and find high spots only taking off a couple thousands. I do my tapers, parallels, overlays and all on it.
I laid out my radius on the riser pieces. That's all for today
2 parallels and 2 tapers .002 + some
