Harry was truly a guy well liked by his friends who were many. He came to the shop regularly on Tuesday nights for a round of shooting and bantering. Harry was always the first one there and one of the last to leave. It was a group of usually 6-8 guys or gals , and Harry was the heart of the group.
As Bud said, he enjoyed shooting someone else's nocks. His excuse for shooting last was that he only had one good arrow.. The competition was good, and we all gained from the experience. I saw Harry get upset with his shooting on several occasions, but he was gracious in a rare loss.
At our Tuesday night shoot we took up donations, at Harry's and I believe Steve Graff's suggestion. This was suppose to cover the cost of coffee and expense. Since it was more then the actual cost, the donations were diverted to the St jude's Hospital for Kids. They started referring to us as the "Guys of Tuesday Night', in their thank you notes. That's how I want to think of Harry, a guy of Tuesday night.
Thank you Harry for the friendship. Thank you Donna his selfless and loving wife that he loved. Thank you Chris for loaning us your dad. Thank you God.
