Much appreciated, Kirk!!!

Whatever is to be, will be!

Been an interesting couple days as I've been engaged with some specialty Rx place in NY state that is canvassing the mfg of the oral meds...

they're now waiting on the URO doc to do stuff to make application... My URO appt was pushed back till NEXT THURS for the Lupron shot... I don't know how any of this crap will affect me physically, but living alone I have to stay vertical to function...

que serra sera...

Doc so sorry to hear all that you are going thru. This is the first time I have been on here in a while. My internet is down at the house and I am doing this from my camp. Please know that I have not forgotten you and you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.  Keep the Faith and as you always say Keep the (Son) in your eyes.

LR, from camp, no less?  Gracious!

That might be above and beyond... but I thank you....

I guess I get a bit "down" at times, but deep down I know whatever is already decided by a power I cannot understand... Or, Comprehend

Well, heck: hadn't been here for a week or so and I come back to this. Darn it Doc, don't you give up. You're needed here and probably  places we have no idea about. And a person with a story is an inspiration. And I know you've inspired lots of  people here so, you ain't giving up. God needs you in heaven, but HE needs you more on earth as do we, so up and at 'em Tiger.
God, Bless our brother and heal him from top to bottom and stem to stern. Get rid of that hellish substance within him and give him health, strength , peace and wisdom. Lord, prove to the doctors that it's You who is the healer and not them. Make this another chapter in his testimony and make him more of an encouragement to other people. Thank you Father for your blessings. In Jesus name. Amen. :clapper:

Bob,

Those are fine, fine sentiments, but I suppose God is the final say on my whereabouts and who needs me... now for me to get my own head on straight about all that...

I'm not giving up but then on the other hand, these medical folks here have been wrong at every turn on this ailment and now the URO doc wants me to take new oral meds that run $2700/MONTH... There is some specialty pharmacy making application to the makers of the meds for Zero cost and the LUPRON shots are $8K/ year so I'm not doing that either lest they can get the cost waived...

I figure they've been wrong at every turn and my body doesn't like medication and reacts so we'll see...

When/ IF God wants me HE knows where I am...

but prayers are always welcomed... I heard a great sermon on line yesterday that said prayers are a "Privilage and a Responsibility" so I appreciate all offers! :)

This too shall pass, as will we all... :notworthy:

Paul,

I appreciate those strokes, but am not sure if I deserve them... as the saying goes, "Talk is cheap"...it's easier to type and SAY things then live them and this ole putz has feet of clay for sure! I'm not giving up but I suspect I'm saying what I say to get myself oriented to it and hopefully convince MYself... I surely need the prayers and God's Strength to weather this one...

Hawkeye, I appreciate your comments and prayers as well!

Prayers for you David.  I know that your faith runs deep, and I hope that my prayers can continue to give you strength to keep that faith.  I offer up to Saint Pio, please grant an intercession to David, heal him and make him well.

Al,

I want you and EVERYONE who has posted or offered prayers to know deep down inside how deeply I appreciate your support and concern!  I do, I do, I DO!

None of us know that time we have left, nor do I really want to...

I did get word from an outfit that canvassed the maker of the super expensive oral medication ($2700/month) that I'll get the medication from the MFG for free the rest of this year...

I don't know if my body will tolerate the meds or if they'll do any good, but either way, I appreciate the prayers

Thanks, one and all...

Been on the new oral meds for a couple weeks now...seems ok... Got approved thru 2021 I think... kinda a mixed up mess right now but when it ends the free, I quit cause I ain't paying $2700.mo outa pocket to see what's up... I'm told the Lupron shots are covered by medicare.  Just finished 2 1/2 weeks of weekday radiation on the place where it matastasized in the spine... got a chest rash and a sore esophagus from the radiation, but they say that'll dissipate...  :knothead: Que serra, serra...

See Urologist Oct 1 then a medicare physical on 10/2, so we'll see what we'll see... Nobody knows but the Good Lord and he ain't tellin...  :notworthy:

David,

My wife, girls and I are all praying for you.  They (except the littlest one) remember you from the diner in New Holland, and are sincere in their prayers.

Your friend,
Tom

Bob,

I don't know that I deserve any of your three handles, but I appreciate the thought, for sure...

It's grand to see you posting ... Attitudes change as trials unfold but I'm trying to lean on what I've learned
