Need a little help with a Black Canyon Longbow

Always wanted a Black Canyon longbow. Finally got one a while back from RMSG. It's a 62" about 58lbs. I've decided to take it elk hunting over my Blacktail recurve. What should the brace height be on this? Shooting Gold Tip 400 at about 525 grains. Shooting well at 6.25" brace, but have never owned a longbow before.

Blacktail Recurve 62" 55lbs - 29"
Assenheimer 66" 63lbs - 29"

I have never seen one that low. I would try at least at seven to seven and five eights. Did you get it new? Seems like the string might be a wee bit too long, but you should be able to twist that up some.

I have a 3 piece 62" Black Canyon longbow and the literature provided by Mike recommends starting with a brace height of 6 3/4-7 1/2".

What a bowyer says for a brace height is just a recommendation (ball park). It's really what shoots good for you.
