How do you like your Gold Tip shafts? Which ones do you have? Do you recommend one over the other...classic(smaller diam) over traditional?

I got some camo ones from Big Jim,that were cheap.

They have been some tough,good arrows. I still have some that need fletched,but can't bust the ones I have.

The GT Ultra Lights have performed quite well in the field for me. I prefer my arrow wt distribution concentrated on the end.

One current hunting arrow setup that I has performed well:

Bow: 52 @ 28

Arrow: GT UL 340...29 3/4"....100 gn insert...200 gn head...25% EFOC...563 gn total

I use Velocity Pros, started with the Pros until the velocity ones came out. Same thing just lighter. The 600 spine shoots great out of my 40# Recurve 125 gr head 4" feathers.

I use Velocity Pro for my compound bow also. 400 spine. 100gr head and blazer vanes.

They are tough and fly straight!

I am using Velocity XT shafts. They are fairly light for their spine, and I am able to tune arrows with FOC consistently in the 22-27 percent range. Very high quality and durability too.

I shoot the Velocity/Ultralights in compound and the traditional from recurves.
My only complaint is that the finish is rough and pulls harder from targets.  The Traditionals will
have the finish chip and flake from the shaft after a while.  At the end where the insert is installed.  But they look great.

For the money, I have been using Easton Aftermaths as an alternative with my recurves.  Smooth finish makes pulling from targets easier.  They are a 6mm diameter and still take a standard point insert.

I shoot the GoldTip Traditionals. They're really tough shafts and will stand up to a lot! They're a bit heavier which is nice, and also have a cool wood grain pattern on them. Very affordable as well.

I shoot GT Traditionals with my longbow (blems from Big Jim) and GT Hunters with my compound. No complaints. They match up to any other carbons in my opinion.

Every one of these deer took a GT 3555 to the boiler room! Tough shafts that don't cost $120+ for a dozen!

I shoot the traditional and some of the GT Ted Nugent zebra. Mine are 31" with 225-235 gr up front. I am starting my second year of hunting and see no need to change a thing.

Gold tips arrows are awesome any of them will work just fine. They also take a beating you won't go wrong if you purchase them.

I also shoot the Gold Tip XT' wood grains along with some of blems that I have purchased from a well known seller. They are likely 5 years old or more. They are a tough shafts with a great deal of punch when properly tuned with a good FOC.

Recently I bought an Ace spine tester and I spined everyone and marked the stiffest part of the spine for fletch positioning. I don't find it very unusual to get a shaft 3 pounds off in spine...and sometimes up to 7 pounds on rare occasion. I assume it came from the blems but since I didn't separate them, there is no way to really know.

Three pounds which is usually the max variation in the worse shaft still isn't too bad. I see no reason to change.

I've been using .300 GT velocities for several years now. They tuned well for me tipped with 100 grain inserts and 200 grain broadheads and are pretty durable for their weight.

I shoot 400 Trads for longbow, 300 Hunters for compound, and make 600 Warriors for my wife's longbow. Zero complaints.
