I though I read somewhere that Steve puts a l thin line of phenolic material in his tips to support FF strings. I have wood tips but there is an approximately 1/16" black line, perhaps phenolic material in the tip.  Bow was made in 2008. Anyone know if it is safe to use FF material. Steve's mailbox is full and no way to contact him at the moment. Thanks for the help.

Not a problem, even without the limb tip wedges.
