Hey hope it’s ok I’m starting this as we have a bunch of MO guys and then a pile that go hunt Kenny’s too.
Post your hunt highlights and pics of anything here!
I got out this morning and an hour into the hunt I had a old mule headed doe with 2 fawns heading my way. I let the old doe and the smallest fawn pass then I shot the button buck. Double lung and didn’t go 30 yds and lights out.

Nicely done!!
I saw two Does this morning but too far out. Stalked a little but they ran in deeper and I had to head to work.
Tomorrow is another day, always fun no matter what. Congrats on meat in the fridge on the first day!!

Congrats! For me, that's the kind of venison that's so good it doesn't get shared! I'll be hunting Kenny's the week after Thanksgiving! Be my first time hunting Missouri. I figure I better start learning the lay of the land there as me and the wife are planning to move to the Springfield area in a little over a year.

Nice! I missed a doe opening afternoon, she ducked a bit and arrow brushed her back. Be back out Saturday morning.

Thanks boys. Wish I was in the woods instead of at work.....saw a lot of deer moving on my drive in and it was 46 degrees. I’ll be back out this evening!
Good luck all.

Going out this evening as the allergies have my head too clouded and heavy for early morning hunts. First year bow hunting so we will see how it goes.

Big doe got a free pass at 15 yards a few minutes ago. She had a button buck and I didn’t want to orphan him just yet.

Yup just got busted by a one year old and her momma from about 10 yards. Walked straight at the tree I was hiding behind. The little basket buck was 20-25 yards down the hill trying to figure out what all the commotion was. Momma had her back to me and that was the one I was working on but the baby was broadside and saw me through the notch in the tree.

First sit by the big lake brought on some action. Nice doe will provide and the farmer is happy as they are eating his beans bad.
